I've had the bottom flange, rubber seal to come loose in the center of my RP178 2016 slide. I cant figure out how to get it back into the track. If I could pull it out from one end then slide it back in it might work, but the vertical flange tracks come down so far that it can't be slid out. Any advice.

I looked at the seal on my 178 and it has damage near the slide mechanism, near center but at right side of slide. As far as I can tell there is no integrity issue. Appears as if the outside hardware has cut into the seal when it closes. Hard to describe. It is damaged not lose. Sorry not much help, but can't see how to remove and replace, mine looks like I could trim away the damaged seal and not effect integrity.

are you talking about the 3" flat seal or the 1: round seal. Round seal is easy to replace just get a new one ( I think you can buy it on amazon) it just slides in

It's the round seal. Cant slide it out because of the vertical tracks that come down in the way of sliding the horizontal damaged one out.

bandleader: i know exactly what your talking about. mine does the same thing(rubber seal by the slide mechanism on bottom). when i initially fixed it, i took the vertical seal(just one side) off as well as too get the bottom one slid on(then slid the vertical one back on). I think it only stayed on 1 time!! now i just try to snap it back on manually as best i can each time and haven't had any issues(it is a drag though). note that when you take those seals off i recall there is a screw on each end to hold it in place. i also think i did a little re-caulking. hope this helps. hogone GO PACK

Thanks, that may be helpful. This looks like a manufacturing defect. I will try to lodge a complaint with Forest River.
