We recently purchased a 175 that was manufactured in August 2010. The light bar and fender lights have not been installed  as  per the recall. My question is how did they run the wiring from/to the lightbar? I can see how the fender lights would be easy but concerned about how power will be supplied to the light bar and not have wires tracing either through the inside or the outside of the rpod.  I'm probably worrying too much about aestheticsLOL. I would like to hear from people who have been through this modification. I I also wouldn't mind hearing from those who decided not to do the modification and why. Thanks!

We had that recall done on our 2010 174. You might check your states law on lights on trailers. Apparently you can be cited for not haveing the right lighting. Since there has been a recall kinda put the ball in your side of the court!!!

We had the recall done on our 2010 171 and it came done on our 179. It does help light up the back of the trailer some

We had ours done years ago, as have most owners.. the wires are hidden. They run them out of the back, under the trim strip.

You don't have a "legal" out. The Feds took FR to court over the deal. It "must" be done. If you get stopped, and we DID have owners get stopped, you will get cited.

We had the update done on our trailer.  It seems that they ran the wiring through the plastic bumper or sleeve that runs on either side vertically on the rear of the trailer.  I do not believe they made any holes either outside or inside the trailer.  One problem I did have is that when they caulked the top side of the light bar, they left a gap about 1/2" all along the top edge between the light bar and the trailer body.  Upon seeing this, after I had taken the trailer home,  I called the  dealer and spoke to the service manager.  He seemed rather unconcerned, so I caulked it myself.  The Dealer was Motor Sports Land in Salt Lake City.  I would not recommend their service department.

I read on an earlier post that FR allowed a local repair service to install on someone's r pod. which is what Will be the easiest for me to do. looks like my next call is the FR. Thanks everyone for the imput. I really appreciate this group.
