Hello everyone!

Looking forward to learning oodles from everyone's trailer wisdom. We just brought home our first trailer ever, a new 2016 183G! Super excited to have this new escape pod. We're using a 2014 FJ Cruiser to pull it and so far, so good, except that we found our anti-sway bar was warped from the drive home. Pinch Yeah. Other than that, we've already gotten hard at work in loading up essentials (kitchen stuffs, cleaning stuffs, coffee...) and can't wait to take her out for her maiden voyage, as well as to christen our best-traveling pup officially as a Pod Dog.

As I said, we're new to the towing and trailer world, so any shared wisdom is greatly appreciated.

I was interested in comment "anti-sway was warped", how do you mean? I have had my sway bar hitch move rearward under load, but never damaged the sway bar control. Maybe you could splain a bit better, I would be interested. THANKS

The driver-side L bracket seems to have bent up/outward, and the hitch head is also now at an angle. Perhaps my terminology used in the my first post was a bit off - this is all new to me. The rig is going back to the dealer to get the E2 Hitch (Trunnion Style) replaced.

What you describe sounds like improper installation of the E2. I have an E2 and had similar problems due to improper installation by the dealer. It sounds like the L-brackets were installed too far back from the ball, and maybe loose to boot. During a tight turn the outside spring bar can slip partially out of the L-bracket retainer. When the TV returns to normal the spring bar will jam in the L-bracket and bend it.
