I remember someone posting a swivel mount option that bolted to the existing TV mount for a 179 allowing the TV be angled down. Any help would be appreciated.

JandL, that is a nice mount. I am trying to find one commercially available, the one shown is fabricated.

On page 2 and 3 there are links to some Amazon mounts. I am not sure what model of television you have but you can check to see what VESA pattern the mounting holes are on the back of it, and do a Google search for TV swivel wall mount, VESA 75x75(3"x3"), 100x100(4"x4") or what ever it turns out to be

It's this one:

You just remove the section that connects to the TV and drill out two holes to 1/2". It doesn't give as much tilt as the homemade one, but it's enough for watching straight-on from the dinette.

Thanks everyone. The Bum - does it swivel down enough to watch it from the Queen Bed? Not really in my plans but I don't want to exclude possibilities. I will research these mounts all, many thanks.

Retroactive, did you replace the entire arm or just the mounting plate?

Hate to keep going here but I assume everyone has the same 19" Jensen TV, right?

I do. I plan to scope out 24" TVs during Black Friday this year though.

Yes, I swapped out the whole thing. You have to drill new holes into the wooden stud behind the paneling, but no modification the the actual arm or brackets is necessary. Here is a link to the thread from when I installed it  http://rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=7641&PN=6&title=diary-of-a-madmodder - http://rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=7641&PN=6&title=diary-of-a-madmodder
