I know some of you have been talking about getting these gas operated pistons to hold up the bed when you want to look under it.  I  found a good web site with them plus a LOT of other interesting stuff that we could use.  I ordered their free catalog which is 180 pages long.  Check out the web page:   http://www.woodworker.com/ - http://www.woodworker.com  The actual name of the company is Wood Worker's Supply.

Another company to check out is http://www.mcmaster.com/

If they don't have the part, it doesn't exist.
