We have found that State Parks are about the cheapest parks to camp in.  If you go to Reserveamerica.com you can make reservations online and pick the camp site you want using the park site map.  They are usually a little more off the beaten path which makes them quieter and less crowded. We camp to get away from the husslle and bussel and all the stimuli of life.  We don't like camp grounds that offer a ton of extra crazy activities.  And I HATE camp grounds that allow GOLF CARTS.... Just sayin Disapprove
