Hello.

We currently have a ProLite Profil and we are planning to get the Rpod 179. I'm eager to put my hands on the new toy and customise it at my taste. We just need to sell the ProLite before.

Welcome! We really like our 179, they have a really nice floor plan and a lot of storage space!

Congratulations, we bought our 179 a month ago and took it out once. We have another trip planned the week after next, one in Sep, one in Oct, and one in Nov. We are staying within a couple of hours from home until we get used to it, learn it, and are a bit more confident. So far, so good, we are real happy with our decision.

We picked up our R-Pod in December. The first trip was from North Carolina to Nevada and Arizona and back (daughters and families). We've made some long and short trips since, and I have done a number of modifications, some which I need to post and all of which make the R-Pod even more suited to our needs.

I hope you enjoy your 179 as much as we are enjoying ours.

The pod is now parked at home. If you guys have any questions about the current 2017, including the television mount (which is a Rocketfish), don't hesitate to ask.

I am curious about the 2017 (since all the 2016's have sold out in our neighborhood) you mentioned the TV mount, does it now tilt for better bed viewing?
Additionally, hows your fit and finish? (Caulk around the counters, seams, woodwork etc.)
Lastly, the only pod I got to inspect personally (a 2016 180) the exterior seams were not super awesome, how's yours?

Any feedback on your dealer and their process?

TV mount will tilt and is correct for usage while seating in the slide-out. bed viewing could be better as it does not tilt more than 30 15 degres. However It's ages ahead of the old one. Also, inputs on the TV are much better than on the Jensen one (2 HDMI and L+R+R+G+B). Still a pita since they does not supply the correct cables to plus it correctly with the rv radio. I will look into it when I have more time.

Fit and finish is not perfect but ok for me. The wall in between and bed and water closet is rounded a bit.

Caulk seems to be applied correctly everywhere but I haven't washed/waxed it yet, I will report back later on this

Dealer was A+ (compared to my other expériences with rv dealers). Only thing that was not perfect (partially my fault) is the WDH. I did not specify the equalizer type and got a husky round bar one. Otherwise, the experience A+. I will deal with this one again if necessary. www.roulottesevasion.com

First trip done and a few things.

With the slide-out out, the camper has to be exactly level, or a bit leaning on the slide-out side. Otherwise there will be a few drips of rain inside (left side of the fridge, on the small 'step' there, and right side, near the bed) on the floor. They seems to follow the top of slide-out rails. It's logical since the rubber blade is not perfectly tight with the rail.

Interior space is AWESOME.

And... humm.. yeah... TV has strange effects on the older one...
