In my 180 the bathroom mirror will not stay stuck to wall. There are 3 strips on back like the command strips but not strong enough to hold it going down the road. Anyone else have this problem and if so what type of glue or other source did you use to correct problem. Thanks

Might be easier to take that mirror down and purchase one that has a couple hooks on it so it can hang over the top of the door.  We have done this for 5 years on our 177.  During transport we simply unhang the mirror and place it on the bed.

There are water-resistant http://www.command.com/3M/en_US/command/products/~/Command-Water-Resistant-Refill-Strips-Assorted?N=5924736+3294385808+3294529207&rt=rud - Command strips from 3M. That is probably what would be best to use to replace the strips that failed. I don't know how big or heavy the mirror is that came unstuck. I have the http://www.command.com/3M/en_US/command/products/?N=5924736+3294529207+3294545781&rt=rud - Fog Resistant Mirror , also from Command in our 179 bathroom which did not come with a mirror. It has stayed up there for several months so far. It uses the water-resistant strips.

Thanks for advice. I will get new strips and see if they hold. Don't know if the heat inside when not being used or the steam from shower is the problem. The mirror is 16x20 that came in it.

If you go with the strips, be sure to clean the surfaces thoroughly. The Command instructions specify to use isopropyl alcohol and not household cleaners to do so. Isopropyl alcohol won't leave residues that can reduce adhesion.

I couldn't find these moisture resistant Command strips locally, but I did find indoor/outdoor strips from the folks at LocTite. So far, so good. Got it at Wal-Mart in the paint section.

Thanks. Did you take all of the strips off that came on it before putting on the new ones?

I have a 2016 180 with the separate shower and bathroom in the back (purchased in early June).  I had it out this weekend for its 7th trip.  I arrived at the campground to find my oval mirror over the sink had crashed to the floor and shattered.  This really stinks.  I'm wondering if my warranty will cover this?

I got a round 10" mirror from Amazon, and we used 3M strips to adhere it to the wall directly above the switch board in our 177.  We used several strips, and it never budged in over 5k miles.

I too experienced this issue on my 180. A quick trip to the hardware store for some screw in "mirror clips" resolved the issue. You can leave the adhesive strips on the back and place the mirror clips around the perimeter (I used 3, one at the top at 12 o'clock and two at the bottom in the 4 o'clock & 8 o'clock positions). Mine has been fine ever since.

I am looking for oval mirror clips. Walmart only has square ones. Anyone find oval? Where? Thanks

Check Lowe's or Home Depot, or any other proper hardware store. If all else fails, check Amazon.

I cleaned all the strips off the back and wall in 180 with goo gone then wiped down with alcohol and got new LockTite strips and pressed to wall. We have been over some rough roads this week to even the point the hangers of clothes in the closet came off but the mirror hasn't  moved so I guess problem is solved.

Yep, I'm still fine with mine as well, using LocTite.

Were you able to find a new mirror?

I'm in a little trouble - the mirror had fallen off during the time it was at the dealer. I asked them to NOT put it back on the wall because I knew it would fall off again - I figured it would be pressing my luck to have it fall again and not break. The guy at the dealership went ahead and stuck it on the wall as I stood there in disbelief - it's not like I hadn't bought the thing, so why in the world would he just ignore me?

So, sure enough, it fell again. It didn't break, but it did land on its feet in such a way that it was sitting vertically just behind the sink, where it again attached itself to the wall. The falling off thing must be gravity related because it has steadfastly refused to budge.

I managed to break it while trying to get it unstuck. Now I need a replacement.

We had this mirror as long as we had our Pod, and it never fell, partly because it's light.  We attached it with three of the 3M adhesive strips next to the bathroom door, above the control panel.

Our glass mirror inside the bathroom of our 2017 R Pod 180 fell off the wall. We replaced it with a much lighter in weight plastic mirror. The double sided tape seems to hold it in place. It is unclear to me for what reason Forest River did not use the lighter in weight plastic mirror in the first place rather than the heavy glass mirror. This is another example of the many quality problems we have seen with our R Pod. It was easily fixed (by me at my own expense and time), but, nevertheless, it was an unexpected (by me as the customer) problem. And, frankly, it was an easily foreseeable problem that never should have occurred.

Well, this is obviously a common problem in the 180....mine fell off yesterday. We had traveled 200 or so miles home and when it was parked in the driveway, I heard a loud thud. Luckily the glass did not break. Will look into the mirror clips and hope for the best.

Chet,
Did you screw the mirror clips directly into the bathroom wall? Did you need any other type of reinforcement?

Thanks!

A bit off topic, but we have a full length  (4 ft) mirror on the outside bathroom door. I simply stapled (ok, with my Binford 5000 stapler ;) adhesive velcro to the door and to the mirror. It's been there for 10K+ miles.

Whoops!  Just checked back here and saw this.  Probably too late, but to answer your question I just screwed them right into the wall with short, course thread screws.
