We picked up our 2016 178 Hood River Edition on Saturday. The excitement of the moment and annoyance of the clueless guy giving the walk through ( he told me a 10k watt generator was necessary to power the r-pod yet also said I could run everything including a.c. and microwave on a standard household plug with adapterLOL) caused me to overlook a few things.  When I got home, I noticed the black and grey valves hanging very low for a lifted trailer.  I crawled underneath to see what I could do about it and noticed there are no axle risers, which are supposed to be standard on the HRE.
Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do?
Other than the subpar dealer and a few qc issues, I'm very happy with the lil pod and looking forward to many great camp outs with the family.

Worth calling and getting them to put the on. You will definitely want to the have the risers.

I think there have been other posts on here that say the 2016's no longer have the risers, but instead use a different axle that is lifted just the same as if you did have risers.

Try doing a search to see if you can find some answers.

Ditto.  This is what I have read as well.  Forest River apparently claims they are no longer necessary.  However, someone on the R-pod owners FB page recently posted that he had added risers to their '16 R-pod.  If you're not a member of that group, I suggest you join and search for that post.

It depends on if it is an early 2016 (like mine, built in June, 2015) model or a late 2016 model. I think that when the change to the new stainless steel undermount sink and Fastaway jack foot was made, that is also when the axle was changed to the one with no riser. Mine has the riser. I was told that mine had a serial number that was 400 units prior to the changes. I recently changed the step from a single to a double step to make it easier to get into of out of the R-Pod. My mods has the details.I also changed out the sink from the plastic one to a stainless top-mounted one along with the faucet. I added a flip foot, but it is the Husky one which uses a pin and is manual for swiveling up and down instead of the Fastaway automatic foot.
