Hi,

What do you use to raise and lower rpod jacks? Torque? Cordless? Brand?

We've purchased and returned several (using on our teardrop for now) - just not enough power. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Pretty much any 18-20 volt variable speed drill. Not an impact driver. I use a DeWalt DCD 790. It will twist your arm if you're not ready. Approve

You only need enough power to raise and lower the jacks.  You shouldn't be applying enough pressure to raise the trailer to any extent.  I've used Black and Decker, Craftsman and Dewalt drills without any issues.

I use a craftsman 12 volt.  I only set the jacks not try to raise the trailer.  It works fine and lasts for many times.

I use either a Workzone (Aldi brand) 12V Correction: 16V cordless drill or a Porter Cable 20V cordless drill, both lithium ion. On either one, I use the low speed and set the drill to either 2 or 3 so that it can't torque the stabilizers too much. Both are adequate. I keep the Porter Cable at home since I use it most there. The Workzone travels with me as it came with a hard case that is compact and stows easily. It is one of the June 1 specials at Aldi if you have one near you. The one in the Aldi flyer was 12V, not the 16V one I have.

I use an 18 volt Ryobi, but I also use on my tongue jack.

How do you do that mod?? How did you remove the handle? Is it permanently off, because my drill isn't strong enough to crank up the weight of the pod to level (or check to be sure the ball is secure) but I love the idea of being able to get 95% of the cranking done. BTW, I am using the exact same drill.

Just to reiterate - only run the stabilizers down to the ground and then go a bit more to firm them up.  Don't use them to raise/level.  That is what blocks under the wheels and the tongue jack are for.
