3:35 M today heading south on Interstate Hwy 41 near Slinger, WI. Next week it will be ours heading north to Door County. Can't wait.

Hi Keith Saw a post where you were heading to Door County back in May. We are heading up there in October. Coming from the Cincinnati area. Staying at Egg Harbor Campground. | Just got back from an epic Labor Day road trip, only saw ONE R-Pod the entire 4 days and it was driving through Badlands National Park. I was hoping to see more. We must have seen a hundred of them on I-70 when we went to Colorado a month or 2 ago. |

We are currently at Escalente, Utah in the first third of a 3month trip . We left North Carolina Aug 10 and so far have seen 12 pods. We have been in West virginia , Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, the Dakotas, Montana, Idaho and now Utah.We camped north of Salt Lake a couple of nights ago and there were 2 pods at the same campground. We met the Baells from SC and Tom from Nebraska. We all enjoyed talking and comparing our pods and mods. It was Toms birthday and we all sang to him. We recently returned from our second trip to the northeast. The first was from the end of June until early July and the second was the end of July until the middle of August. We did not see any other R-Pods. I was a little disappointed. However, we did get to give tours of ours a few times.

Time is flying, just 3 weeks until we head down to the Great State of North Carolina for a annual fishing trip. Headed to the outer banks for 5 weeks of fishing! We have usually seen 3-5 pods on our trips south!

I've only seen one other Pod besides mine since August 2012 in my 4 years of ownership. It was an older 171 at a campground in East Burke VT during a September mountain biking trip. I didn't talk to the owner/s there was no one at their site at the time. I have only traveled from Connecticut to Northern VT for my outings, so my exposure is limited, but it is strange I don't see others on my trips. I think the reason I don't see other Pods is because my trips are all MTB related and I don't go to large commercial campgrounds. I only hit the state parks and small no hookup tenting campgrounds that allow small travel trailers. I see 3 T@B trailers several times a year though. I have three riding friends in different states who own them. They are VERY light and easy to push around by hand after unhitching. Yes, that would have been me  . I fuel up at Nick's because they have diesel, and I either stay at Burke Mountain campground for Memorial Day weekend or during the NembaFest Mountain Bike Festival in late June or my trip in September. I like the range of the TDI Touareg (26 gallon tank) . I only use close to 16 gallons towing the Pod to East Burke (15mpg -240 miles one way), then refuel before heading back to Connecticut. I love not having to stop for fuel on the way. The R-Pod fits several sites at Burke Mountain campground. I always ride with a large group of companions who are part of a MTB meetup group. We park our shuttle vehicles downtown in the main lot, and then we ride directly from the campground. At the end of the day, we drive back up that road (I do NOT want to pedal up that road on a FS mountain bike!!!). I'll be there again later this September for BBB ( Bikes, Beer, Bacon !!!). Usually we have close to 20 or more people for this event, and about 5-6 sites. At least 5 people take their small campers last year. I have the only Pod. We go through E.Burke a lot as one of my sons lives up in Island Pond and we go back and forth a lot! That is some great mileage for towing a pod! We'll look for you later this month, we will be headed south around the 27th for 5 weeks down fishing on Cape Hatteras

Camped in Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek, Wisconsin two weeks ago. The park is in Door County which is a finger running NE from Green Bay.
There are 460 campsites. We camped during the week and the park was not full,
it is for the fall color weekends. Our Pod was one of three I saw at the park. During
the 1-1/2 hours traveling to the park on I-43 I saw 2 other Pod going south.
This is the first time after about 15 camping trips that no one asked to tour
