Can't get hot water when electric switch is used. Everything works when gas is used. When electric only no, hot water. Here's what I've checked. Our 178 (past warranty) is connected to 110 at the house and everything else electric in the pod works. There isn't a fuse blown as far as I can see. The wh tank is full of water. I' ve filled with the pump and checked for this. My only guess is I might have blown the electric element when dewinterizing. Are there other things to check? If not, I guess I should try replacing the electric element. Can someone indicate where that is on the heater and is it an easy job for someone...learning as they go...to do? Check that the small rocker switch on the water heater itself is on and both black reset buttons are pushed. These are accessible from the outside if you open the WH access panel. If all these are OK and the circuit breakers are all on, it would point to a burned out element. Search youtube.com for Suburban SW6DE water heater. You will find several videos on how to test and replace the element.

| I had a similar situation. Hot water on AC takes considerably longer than the propane. |

Just to mention that the element replacement was a success and relatively easy to do. The Youtube videos are really helpful. Learned a lesson about dewinterization from all of this. Make sure the outside heater switch is off whenever water heater tank is empty! PJ  ------------- PJ |
