We left on 5/1 & returned on 5/20. Meetup with bro & sis in-laws to view wildflowers in the Smokies. Camped at smokemount cg near Cherokee,NC. Hiked high & low to view wildflowers. Hiked in some rain & snow. Mostly ok weather during 3 days of hiking. Hiked 5 miles each day and the wildflowers were amazing. The ups & downs were challenging (Florida flat mountains not). After a week we headed to Ohio to visit family & friends for a week and then headed to Mammoth cave national park. Camped in park for 3 days. Weather was wet & cold but we toured the cave & visitor center so didn't matter. Pod furnace was used a good deal to take the chill out of the trailer. Another pod pulled in on are second day (Jerry & patty 175). Discussed pods in general & mods. They were also from central Florida. It was an excellent trip even with cold wet weather. The pod did well keeping us dry & warm.
Did have some condensation issues due to weather but will take some extra towels for drying next time. The windows & metal frames had alot of condensation as expected due to cold damp conditions.
Next pod trip is undecided. Either Maine or out west. Maybe boundary Waters.

Sounds like a fun trip. The GSMNP is one of my favorite places to visit.
