Hi All

I am thinking of getting an R-pod just dont know which one would better fit my needs.

180- I really like the bathroom and its a plus....

179- I like the dinette area.

We will be camping with out 13 yr old grandson most of the time and it was suggested that the 179 would be a good fit... The 180 dinette is small so it may be somewhat uncomfortable for him

The 180 would be good for us as we are not small frame people, but I have heard from others they manage and they are not small also.  My wife has knee problems.. some say they have same thing and manage the small step up, others place a small step which we can deal with.

any advice, recommendations?

Thanks

We have a 179 and really love it! We toured the 180 a couple weeks ago at our local dealership. The bathroom was really tempting, but it lost all the kitchen counter space and storage that the 179 offered. The dinette in the 179 is open and comfortable.
Good Luck!

It's definitely a trade-off. The biggest consideration for us choosing the 179 was living space and counter space. We figured that the time we spend lounging in the dinette will far exceed the time we'll be in the bathroom. Plus, with the queen bed turned the "wrong" way, meaning that the person in the front will have to climb over the person in the back to get out of bed, we really liked the available second bed space of the 179.

I would only get the shower if you think you will absolutely need it, but I understand that can be a serious concern for some. You are going to spend 99% of your time in the rest of the pod, and floorspace is a premium in the Rpod.

My wife and I decided we wanted the kitchen space and storage more than we wanted the larger bathroom. It has worked out well for us so far. Most of the time if we are at a place with shower facilities, we use those instead of the one in the R-Pod anyway.

We chose the 179 for the same reasons as most of the others who have responded. We like the dinette. We can move the table out of the way and it is more like sitting on a sofa. The small closet and pantry along with the extra storage space were important to us as was the larger counter space in the kitchen area. My husband never uses the shower; it is just too tight for him as he is a little claustrophobic. I split time between it and the bath house.

we just bought the 180. I wanted the privacy of my own shower and the space of the bathroom. It's just the 2 of us and maybe a grandchild( one at a time), My big concern now is taking our dogs. It will be tight and what if it rains?

Great topic. My wife and I decided on the 180. On Saturday, we're going to look at a 2017 model and put the deposit down. We wanted the bathroom and a bed that was a bed, with a mattress.

I know I sound like a repeating record, but we go to pick out or 180 tomorrow.

Good luck in your decision. I'm sure you'll choose the best model for your situation.

After owning our 179 for a year, we recently toured the 180 and it felt a little claustrophobic for me because the size of the 180's slide is so much smaller.

Hi All

Just got back after seeing the 178,179 and 180.  Wife liked the 178 and 179.   After a brief discussion the 178 might be the right one for us. Now just waiting for some numbers.
