Went on a trip last week and the Mrs. and I decided we could use a cover over the cook top.  We need the counter space more than we need the cook top (we cook outside and use the MicroWave).

I know there are covers available but wanted to see what the podders out there felt were the best ones to consider.

Thanks!

You can buy and install the folding metal cover the manufacturer has, or what most owners do, is get a cutting board of sufficient size, and add legs of sufficient length..

A 'senior' member and you've just now seen this mod? How'd you miss it for so long?

I only joined 5 weeks ago.LOL The "senior" thing seems to be purely based on number of posts; and I have posted a lot between questions and my diary...and occasionally giving advice.

Glad you understood I was just bustin' on you.

The cutting board was like the first thing I did when we got the pod last July. I've done a lot since then, but it was like the most beneficial and easiest mod at that time.

IKEA has a bamboo laminated cutting board, that when cut to size for a range cover, the cutoff pieces give the right amount of lift for legs above the burners.  It is fool proof but not idiot proof - don't use the burners with the cutting board cover in place.
