I know many of you are on Cpap machines and i just started using one myself.
I called the supplier a few days ago to get a price on a power supply and was quoted $190.00 That blew me away. I have seen on Amazon a few listed considerably cheaper and I am wondering what some of you have done.........? My machine is an, AirSense10 Autoset Any and all advice / experience is appreciated. I don't CPAP, but I do 12v..
 Your owners manual should give you the specs of the 12v input, or it may say right on the case of the CPAP. Google your model number if needed. I assure you there is nothing magical about the factory power supply, besides the price. Any power supply that puts out the proper voltage will work. It looks, by the manual, that it's power supply provides 24v with a max use of 107 watts.. The cpap company makes a 12v power cord that you can plug into your machine and a 12v socket. I think the cord from the company is 60.00 give or taker a couple. Leo If I am understanding you correctly the power supply that is currently running my machine will also power my machine when I connect it to 12 volts. Looking on the back of my power supply I do see some info regarding 24 volts? So the only thing I need is the proper cord? Yes, we didnt have a radio shack close, so I just bought the 12v cord from the cpap company that replaces the power cord on your machine ( plugs in the same hole) and the into the 12v plugs we added to the pod. Works great.

I bought mine from CPAP.COM, that is a DC Converter 24V 90W For AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 Machines, for $84. It works great. I turn off the humidity chamber and do without it to conserve power. ------------- 2011 Tacoma V6 4x4 Double Cab 2016 R-180 |

I went 12V on mine too. I can't remember where I bought it, but it wasn't horribly expensive. At first, I made a socket with one quick disconnect male to plug into an open fuse slot in the fuse/breaker panel and a clip that I attached to a ground point. I added a 15' extension and it worked great.
I've since installed a 12V socket. UPDATE: The website was thecpappeople.com and the cord for my Respironics CPAP was $24.50, but it doesn't have to step up the voltage like yours apparently does, which explains the higher price. |

Notice that PatriotDave has a ResMed AirSense10 Autoset. This unit operates on 24 volts DC only. A direct 12 volt connection will not work, thus the need for a 12VDC to 24VDC converter. ------------- 2011 Tacoma V6 4x4 Double Cab 2016 R-180 |
