i am looking for the welting that goes into the awning track on my R Pod. I have the larger size in the 2015 Pod. The bead size needs to be 3/8 or 7/16. 5/16 will not work. We are making our own awning for our Pod and need the canvas welting that will sew on to our awning and fit in the track.

Can you just wrap a strip of canvas around a piece of rope and sew it tightly?  Then you will have a flange to sew to the awning.

We made an awning for our R-POD using plastic/pex 3/8"water tubing from Lowes.

Worked perfectly when sewn into the Sunbrella fabric we used and slide into the track nicely.

The wife's sewing machine handled it just fine using a 1/2" welting foot. She didn't like me using it though, as it did struggle from time to time if I didn't help feed it through. Clap

Hi Captainkd from another Capt Kidd.  I am in Chico, CA and have a 179.  Don't know where you can buy welting though.

Done the same thing Curtis, with some cut up canvas drop cloth for a skirt instead of that silly netting skirt that comes with dome. Worked great and kept the wind out. Did it again just using a handful of small spring clamps on the track. Again, it worked great. Not pretty, but functional.
