I am coming out of retirement and considering planning another Pacific NW Roundup for next year. I am again anticipating Cannon Beach Oregon if they will have us. I need to get some idea of the interest. I will again reserve 50 spots with full hookups. Last year we had over 60 RV's from all over the country. I need to get an interest quickly to reserve the park for next year. Please respond to this post with any interest. I will again have a sponsored dinner on Friday night and weather permitting, a campfire on the beach on Sat. nite. Possibly raffle awards from Forest River and Camping World. I added your name to the list of inquiries. You are number 38. We are more than a year away and I only have 12 spaces left. When I confirm the dates, I will be sending a private email to all who have sent their interest. I just spoke with Forest River and they will provide all the help we need. I have also contacted Circle Creek RV for any overflow of those who aren't able to get a spot at Cannon Beach. They will be glad to have any overflow RV's for the Roundup. They are less than 3 miles from Cannon Beach. Last Roundup in 2015 we had 60 Forest River products with 38 Rpods. I'm hoping that next year we can have a bonfire on the beach. For those who did not attend in 2015, the state of Oregon was fighting some huge forest fires in the area, and additionally it rained on our parade. We still had a great time. Thank you all for your show of interest. We have 45 inquiries so far. I have purposely not posted the dates for the Roundup until I can confirm with the campground. Those who have expressed interest, by sending me an email rather than posting on this website will be the first to know the dates. Art & Kindell, I like BOTH; just a little iffy about my Highlander pulling the R.Pod up hills - i.e. not going to Colorado anytime soon. Actually, I do prefer mountains over ocean, but that's because I was tent camping before the R.Pod and sand everywhere! Ughh! Fort Bragg - is that above San Fran? So far, 72 have sent me inquiry's. It has not been advertised on the Forest River site. Yikes!! I have managed to convince the campground to allocate 60 spaces for us. Will send all an email when I have firmed up the dates with the campground. We also have available Circle Creek RV in Seaside. For all who sent a request to be informed of the Pacific NW Roundup, you will be getting an email next week on the dates and location. I have been able to reserve 70 full hookups split between two campgrounds. You will have the first opportunity to make a reservation before it is published in the Forest River Owners Group calendar. When you receive the notification, I would not hesitate to make a reservation immediately, as I have had over 95 requests for info so far. The sites will go fast so if you have any interest make the call ASAP. I will also maintain a standby list after all sites are taken. Safe Travels and watch your email box.

I reserved a spot at the Cannon beach RV Resort for August 17-19. The woman I first spoke to was not very helpful in regards to where the the pods would be in the park. Would they be in one section?? She did not know.

second campground is Circle Creek RV Park in Seaside, Oregon, which is about 5
miles north of Cannon Beach. We have had Roundups in both campgrounds and
they are both excellent. When you contact them, alert them that you are
with the Forest River Owners Group. That way we will be together.
We have 50 reserved full hookup sites reserved at Cannon Beach, and for the
overflow an additional 20 full hookup sites at Circle Creek. I am requesting after you make your reservation, that you
send me an email at mailto:cowan.bob3@gmail.com - cowan.bob3@gmail.com .
Please provide the following info so that I may add you to the dinner
reservation list and for the raffle tickets. I will need your full
name, city and state from where you are coming, a contact phone number, number
in your party, what type of rig are you bringing, and which
campground. Should there be a change, I can get in touch. Additionally, if you find that as we get closer to the
scheduled event you need to cancel, please send me an email as I will maintain

Called Cannon Beach RV Resort today and event is most definitely sold out.  Contacted Bob to be put on wait list and he informed me he will not be maintaining a wait list. So, PLEASE, if any of you have to cancel, can you please contact me (253-318-8080) before you do... I would love to get a spot! I will be contacting Cannon Beach RV every week otherwise, hoping a spot opens up. This is my birthday weekend and want to attend again like we did in 2015... in the pouring down rain!!!! We just booked a spot with our R-Pod at Sea Ranch RV Resort in Cannon Beach, which is about 1.5 miles from the Cannon Beach RV resort, and will be joining the group for the Friday night dinner and other events that are planned for the group that weekend. Hey Forum Friends, I NEED help! I think I have a "lemon" R.pod Model # 179! I've had Ms. Froggie out camping (hook ups & dry camping) close to 18 times all around California. AND, she's been in the shop three times! I've added an extra battery for dry camping which only lasted one day! And, last night I froze in 37 degree weather because 1) the heater would not kick on even tho it worked fine the night before (off of propane), 2) the damn propane sensor went off at 1:30am! Well my wire cutters took care of that problem (for the 2nd time). Ms. Froggie is still under warranty but there are always these little problems that make me think I've made a HUGE mistake. She's going right back to the Pacific Coast RV dealer in Atascadero after I thaw out in McDonalds in Calabassas, CA. Anything you expert R.Pod owners can send my way would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I have a solar panel plugged in - 80Watt - $550.00 one! Everything shut down; lights, etc. Only the propane works for the burners. Did not have the fridge operating.
