We have not tried it in the R-Pod, but it is what we use at home. When our first one split a seam, we replaced it. It is, in reality, chrome plated plastic. However, it does work well, and the second one has held up much better than the first. I think I will take it out to the R-Pod and hook it up to see if it would be suitable before purchasing one. I am not too fond of the one that came with the R-Pod.

The Oxygenics Body Spa is pretty much the "standard" upgrade for RVers. They work great. However you don't need the diverter and you do need a Danco shutoff.

CharlieM, Why do you need to purchase a separate shut-off valve? According to the information given and the reviews, it does shut down to a trickle with the button. The Danco shut-off valve also states that it does not cut off fully, but allows a trickle as a reminder to shut it off when done.

Not sure what's on the current production, but the original Oxygenics had a small twist valve at the base of the shower head. A two handed operation. Try that when your eyes are closed with a head covered in shampoo. Remove, discard and add Danco just above the wall mounted valve assembly. Lots easier. The small dribble from the Danco keeps some hot water flowing so it doesn't go icy cold when you turn it back on. Not intended as a total shutoff. That's what the knobs are fore.

Ours has a push-push valve.. and they ARE the replacement that RVers go to. IMHO, the only thing wrong with it is it doesn't mount as close to the wall and ceiling as the factory shower head.. only a problem if you already fill that space pretty well with... you. I am getting ready to add a second mount on the outside wall, about even with the toilet, so it's a little farther from me when I use it. She is 5'6", no issues.

I guess they've improved the design. That two handed twister was designed by someone who never had to use it. I also mounted a chrome swivel from CW...works OK. As for "filling the shower: when that happens I have to give up ice cream for a while .

I tried out our home one (with the twist valve) in the R-Pod. I will be looking at purchasing the push-button version for the R-Pod sometime. It isn't a huge priority. I have spent too much on other projects and need to hold back for a bit.

I know that feeling. I've been maintaining a special "RV Items" list on Amazon so I can pace myself but still remember what I want to get.

Unlike all the cars I used to mod, when I would have parts shipped to my office and hide them there, I have nearly carte blanc WAF to mod as needed if it improves functionality.
