thoughts.  i want/need to replace my tv which is mounted under the cabinet above the bed.  i want to keep the cabinet and mount under as the old one.  was looking at the 13 in supersonic tv/dvd combo($116.59)and either the "mount it"($13.49)or "video secure"($12.99) under cabinet mounting bracket.  all from amazon (wish i could get direct links to them but hogone is a little link stupid!).  any thoughts on these items.  or what have others used using the stock cabinet above the bed?  hogone

I have been looking at similar TV/DVD combo, that unit is on my short list of brands. I am eventually going to add a TV to the master bed of the RP-171, as the 2016 has the TV on the opposite side of the cabin. The TV itself looks like a decent value. The vertically loading DVD means the mechanism secures it tight while playing, so you should be able to tilt it quite a bit while viewing without causing any playback issues.  I am a bit of a Home Theater nut, so my only reservation on these units is the sound quality - some of these cheaper brands have worse speakers than my mom's 1984 Chevette AM radio...downright painful.

ha ha ha, Mom's 1984 Chevette AM radio...LOL, to funny!

hogone, basically you are just looking at a R & R so the big question is will it fit the headbanger unit ok. Meaning you are really kinda limited to whatever will work as far as fit and function, so that really narrows it down. Good luck Sir!
