Pickup up our 172 last week in Eugene. Will most likely be towing it with a Wrangler Unlimited, so we'll see how that goes.  Already started removing things from the pod, as we have some re-modelling planned Cry Current project is installing a C-Head composting toilet, but now I'm off to re-route and tie lose wiring and plumbing underneath the pod, hate to have those catch on anything... (and why did they run that wiring underneath the axle, and not over it??? argh!)

Congratulations on your 172.  Good question on the wiring under the axle, ours is over the axle, but it is a 2011, maybe they took more time working on the assembly back then.  Are you anywhere near Sunriver or Bend.  We have a good friend that moved to Sunriver about 10 years ago in the Cascade's; he loves it out there!

I'm just outside Eugene, near Junction City. A ways from Bend, but I've always liked the bend area.

@luvpod, maybe we will see you on the road! Though you may not recognize our pod, we've already stripped off all the R-Pod logo's and plan a paint job at some point :)

So how goes the c-head? I just bought my trailer and I am very curious.

So far we like it, but we've only been out on long weekend trips so far. I think maybe 4 days was the longest. We empty the pee container every other day (two adults and one kid), and the main compost bucket when we get home. I think we could stretch the compost to at least a week, longer if we didn't put the toilet paper in there. The paper doesn't mix in well, so it piles up and would be the determining factor.  I've read some people put paper in a separate trash bag.  We also empty the pee before we drive anywhere, as there's the potential for it to slosh out.

I haven't installed the extra ventilation, but I think I will at some point. Vent it out the side, extra air helps it compost better.  I don't find that it smells much, in fact most of the odor we get is from the grey water tank up through the shower pan, have to add water to keep the vapor lock going.

Happy with the choice so far and have no intention of going back.
