i have a 2010 Rpod 175 and the floor just outside of the bathroom is soft and flexes considerably. Has anyone experienced this and if so is the repair expensive?

Thanks

Soft floors indicate rot caused by a water leak. Could be from a plumbing leak or a rain leak.  You have to find and correct the leak first, then repair the floor. This usually involves removing and replacing the rotten section. Not an easy or fun job.

Some pods have demonstrated a soft spot there just due to flex. The floor is a sandwich of luan and foam, in a aluminum frame. FR has put an extra stiffener under that area if no leak was found.

Yup some Pod models just have open spaces underneath where there is no support for the floor, some of those can get more flexy after a while.

Had spots like that in my 181g.  There's a big section of several feet where there is no support underneath.

Just needed something added to make that support, floor was fine after.

What did  you add to your floor to remove the soft/spongy feeling in the hall section?

I have heard of people laying laminate flooring? Do the floor supports on the Rpod run East and West (from door to cabinet?) as opposed to North and South (from the dinette to bed or hitch to rear)?
