Not sure what you mean by trailer jack. One for in case you have a flat tire we use a small floor jack

Depends on your preferences.  If you are parking yours on a paved surface and wish to move it a short distance from point a to b you would probably want one.  In our case we are usually boondocking or camping on soil or soft surfaces so all I bring is a 12" piece of wolmanized 6 x 6 to put under the jack on the tongue.  Have been doing it that way with our pod for 5 years.

Especially when you have a WDH, since you need to raise it twice to hook up and twice to unhook, an electric jack is awesome.

I replaced the standard FR tongue jack with a Bal swivel jack with wheel.  Makes moving the trailer around, a breeze.  Just took a closer look at Techntreks picture.  Same jack.  Safe Travels.

I put a wheel on our 179.  It is easily removable for travel, but allows me to roll it a few inches one way or the other when hitching up on concrete.  I also have a "dog dish" plastic stand that the wheel drops in and it works well as a chock.  It was left over from the tent trailer I replaced with the 179.

Bob, yes I had a swing-up jack on the pod.  I had a lot of clearance issues when I first got the pod, until I installed the risers.

Can you explain this process??  Maybe I've been doing it wrong...  I just lower the jack so the hitch is on the ball.  Latch the hitch, hook up my arms for the WDH.  Raise the jack a little bit to make sure the hitch is latched properly.  Then lower it.  Done.

I'm not sure what you mean by raise it twice?

I hook up the way my dealer showed my how.  Maybe a different style hitch??
