Has anyone installed one of the Progressive Industries EMSHW30C Surge Protectors in a 179?

The electrical I can handle. The space is what I am curious about.

I have a 177 and I mounted mine inside the seat box where the WFCO distribution center is, mounted to the side closest to the refrigerator. Just spliced in the orange wires going to the distribution center. The wire to the digital display I ran out the bottom of the seat box, thru a hole and hot glued the wire to the wall next to the slid out. Them Mounted the display where I could see it. One of the things I noticed with mine is there is a very slight hum from the contactor. No one who has sleep there has said they could hear it

I've seen 179 owners put them in the pantry or a few other places.

Thanks. I will be checking the space beneath the pantry on Thursday. It seems to be the most logical, it is just a matter of getting the paneling and 'stuff' off and out of the way for the install.

I think there will be some pics taken for posting. No audio of course!!!

I think if you ask this question, in this manner, over on the FB page, you should get some pictures and answers.. I think several 179 owners over there have installed these.. but they don't roam here..

Yes, there's a reason we don't allow audio during installations. Wink
