Ciao! I'm Gigi, owner of an '08 LR2 and looking to this forum for advice on which r pod is best for my rig. Also wondering how to get the electric brakes to work without splicing :)

My husband is newly retired Army and we are in the market for a small camper that can take us and our dog on adventures up north and out west. I really love the r pod and think the 171 would be big enough and weigh under (with cargo) the 3500 lbs that our rover can tow.

Thanks for the add, and I look forward to meeting you all :)

Howdy neighbor! San Antonio here... electric brakes? ALL rigs must include a brake controller unit...something you will need to add if your rig does not already have one. It's not uncommon for a dealer to install one at the point of sale.

Welcome from out west!  Whichever pod you decide to get,  I am sure you will love it.  As for traveling out west,  be prepared to stay a while!  There is so much to see and do.  Congratulations on the new retirement!  I am really looking forward to it myself.  All my friends that have retired highly recommend it.

Welcome.  Tell us more about your brake situation.  Do you mean splicing to install the brake controller?
