I have winterized my pod and the batteries are out and stored in the garage on a tender. If I plug the pod into AC, will the slider still work or do the batteries have to be installed?

Converter will supply 12v to all DC systems when plugged into shore power, with or without a battery installed. Just make sure the battery connection leads are insulated before you plug in.

Great point. I think I just bundled all of the leads together and tucked them under a cover. Can't guarantee some aren't touching.
