Has anyone towed an R Pod with a Chevy Equinox with the 3.6 liter, v-6 engine (301 hp, according to the manual) or something similar? Rated for a 3,500 lb towing capacity. We're looking at a 177.

Welcome. Anything rated for 3500 pounds will work fine for local trips, just don't plan on getting over the Rockies easily, or dealing with a strong headwind. You really need something rated 5000 pounds or more for that.

That's about the way I would rate our Colorado. The 5 banger 3.7 ltr Colorado is rated at 4500 lbs. Works pretty well around here but I wouldn't take it through the Rockies etc. Made it to the Black Hills an back from Wis last fall.
