Hello. We are looking at Rpod because assume tear drop easier pull & better mpg. We travel back roads with gravel & dust. We stay back country without paved camp stalls.
Questions: 1) Have owners found best spots & method to add extra weather striping to control dust? 2) Have owners found best spots to add small screens or chalking to stop mice? Thank you. John. Js123Traveller@Gmail.com |

This doesn't answer either of your questions, but I think it's worth putting out there: the Rpods are NOT easier to pull nor do they provide better towing mpg. They pull the same as any other camper of that height and weight. There is some argument to be made that the shape of the Rpod actually decreases mpg by causing more turbulent air

FWIW Pods are not off roading devices, even the Hood River edition. If they bounce to much, like any other towable not built for off roading, they will give you lots of hours of amusement fixing things. On mine I went underneath with Great Stuff and filled around pipes and wires. So far no dust, no mice (knock on wood). | Thank you for reply & sorry for any confusion. I did not want to go 4x4ing. I only need to drive my truck & Rpod down secondary gravel roads access our location. (Assume Rpod can handle gravel roads). |

| We pull our pod on dirt and gravel, and don't seem to have a big dust problem. I do have mud flaps on the back of the pickup which helps with the gravel. Mice -- so far no problem . We keep the pod in a barn during the winter. |
