Nice storage spot! I'm debating building something semi-underground that my camper will fit in.

My Friend collects World War ll military vehicles and offered space in his garage for our 179. I had it winterized just incase the heat goes out.

In the 60's a lot of people buried their Pods!

Storm shelter would be part of the goal.  Right now my plan for a cat 3+ hurricane barreling up the Chesapeake is to pack up the camper and head several hours to the west for a day or so.  Then fight our way back with chain saw in hand.  I would much rather head underground into the camper and stay put.

And you only need 3 feet of earth and 3 days to shield you from nuclear fallout if the scenario in that picture were to occur.  I like the nice touches of the smoking remains of the house and the Geiger counter pegged out.

We are hoping for at least one more trip to our local NFS campground this weekend.
The weather doesn't look too promising though........
Rain most of Friday and lesser chance into Saturday. Unhappy

Oh well, in a few weeks Pod goes in the corner and the sleds come out. Thumbs Up
Bully for you guys in Florida but I like winter. Tongue

Nice Storage Indeed!  We are putting ours away for the season completely winterized.  Living at 10000 feet has ended our camping season.  Next April or May 2016, here we come!

See my post above.  Smile
Winters are not long and cold to me.
For me, Winters are way too short and once a while, yes a little cold.
Life changed a bit after buying the Pod a couple years ago. At least when winter is over I have another pastime to look forward to after that despicable season called "Spring". Worst season of the year.
Of course retiring in July didn't hurt either.   Thumbs Up
