| I have read the posts on here about axle risers from Forest River and other manufacturers and installing them to raise the height of the bottom of the pod. I just bought a 2010 pod 172 and in looking it over, I noticed that the water tank and it's outlet as well as the black and gray water pipes are very low to the ground. I really do like the pod, got it at a good price and it is just what my wife and I were looking for. I would, however, like to raise the height of the bottom of the pod 3 or 4 inches. Has anyone out there done any modifications to raise the height of their pod without buying any of the axle risers that I have seen on this site. Maybe fabricated some yourself? Used other methods? Any advice that you can give to me will be greatly appreciated. |

You can order axle risers through your dealer or direct from Forest River, this is what they look like.

Last I checked there were no risers available at Forest River or any dealers, I had a couple pairs made at a machine shop. They were made from 2" x 4" tube steel. Installed myself. email me and I will send a picture. river
