I'm leaving tomorrow for weekend trip and it's supposed to be cold.  May have to use the LP heater and I've never used it yet since we just bought our new 179 in May this year.  Hoping someone can provide me a brief outline on operating the furnace properly.  The directions are very vague.

Thanks!!

On the thermostat, set the fan to Auto, set the temp where you want it, turn the heat on.

If you've never used it before you should run it at home for a half hour with the windows open, due to residue from manufacturing.

I found the same to be true of the convection oven. Strong odor first use, but then fine.

The first time I ran mine, an alarm went off. Not sure if it was smoke or Co2, but it was smelly in there.

Just got back from camping this weekend. Thanks for the advice in regards to running furnace for a while for first time use. Used heat both nights and worked perfectly.
