A 150 watt inverter will give you enough power for the TV, or if you want to charge up a few phones or a laptop.

That's what I am using, a good quality 150w. I have a triplite with no fan...nice and quiet.

I installed a 12 volt socket around the corner from the fuse box and converter.  It was easy to wire it into one of the open 15 amp circuits.  I then plug in an Innova 4 socket extender, and then plug in an Innova voltmeter into one of the open sockets and a 200 watt Powerpot inverter.  I never pull close to 200 watts so the circuit won't trip.  This has worked very well so far.

I also installed a dual USB output just below the 12 volt socket.  We plug our cell phones directly into that.
