I live in Ontario Canada and would like to know if anyone leaves their R-Pod outside for the winter and what precautions you take besides winterizing ? Thanks Greenroads

We do,live in northern Vermont.we winterized and then park our pod and leave the fan lid cracked open a bit. I will then regularly brush of snow so ice doesn't build up. That's it. We are on our second pod and have been doing this for the last 6 yea

Is it necessary to leave the vent open? It seems like snow would get in and it would just get much colder inside, which seems hard on plastic parts.

I always left the vent cracked slightly and one of the windows open slightly. The pods are tightly sealed otherwise. Temperature is a non-issue. If it is -5 F outside it will quickly get to -5 inside unless you have a heater running.

Last year some of the snow banks could have hid a pod!
