Has anyone replaced their TV, and if so is there a weight limit on the support beam the bracket is attached to ? I will be also be replacing the bracket, with a swivel one.

I don't know that you will find a published weight limit. I would stick pretty close to the weight of the original DTV. You could probably get by with something a little bigger, a pound or two, unless you want to re-engineer and mod the support to go way bigger. I'm not sure about the 179, but on my 178 the DTV is lagged into a 1" thick corner board on the corner of the bathroom framing. Not much there.

P.S. Also, you mention that a swivel is being added, suggesting there is none now? The swivel will increase the load significantly because of the extension of the weight out and away from the wall.

I replaced mine with a 21" in my 179. It seems so much bigger than the one that came in the Pod. I also replaced the bracket with a swivel type.
