I am a owner of an R-Pod 177 bought 3 month ago. Love the trailer. I tow it with a VW Touareg TDI. To make our trailer more livable I added some storage features which I will post later.

Welcome from a fellow 177 owner.  Tell me about your towing with the TDI.  What kind of MPGs do you get?  I'm guessing it's got plenty of torque.  How does it do on long, steep grades?  I'm considering a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.0 turbo diesel (Mercedes engine).

My Toured TDI is awesome pulling my 177. Great going up steep long hills with lots of power to spare. Don't need brakes going downhills as the 177 acts like a parasite. Towing over hilly terrain We get about 15 my ( US gal ) which is pretty good, I think. You need to test drive to decide for yourself. For fun check out YouTube clip " Duramax vs Toured ".

I am a new owner of an R Pod. We take possession next week. I am looking for advise on what I need to start out. I have had trailers before but I am looking for guidance with what I need to outfit the trailer with, first time out. Wildfire

Welcome. That is a good list. Best thing you can do is visit "camp driveway" for a night - then you can grab anything that is missing.
