Lights on, Tiki torche's lit and a nice bottle of Cab. Life is good.

Nice short visit to Ludington. We have realized that two nights is too short. Seems like your breaking camp right after making it.

Beautiful park situated between lake Michigan and Hamlin Lake. With 300 sites you should be able to get just the right spot. Our site was surrounded by woods on the back and dome side. Nice and private

Sounds like a nice spot.
Agree with you on the shortness of a week-end. Sometimes check-out is as early as 11 am at some parks but can be as late as 2 pm.
Depending upon how long a drive I have to get home, I often book Sunday night as well so that I can spend all day at the Park before breaking camp just before or after dinner.
For campsites that are more than 5 hours away, I try to schedule these on long week-ends.
