Hello everyone. We have a 179 with two deep cycle 12 v batteries that have a cut off switch. We use pur pod every weekend hooked up to shore power. Durring the weekend, we connect the batteries, during the wek when there is no shore power we disconnect them.
Today, while prepping the pod for our weekend stay, i turned the batteries on, then tried to put the slide out on battery power. It made a noise, but wouldnt go. i checked their voltage and it read 12.1v. Why are they dead? They are never attached except when the pod is in shore power once a week for a couple days. Are they now totally ruined, having been drained that low for who knows how long? What do I need to do? thanks! |

12.1 is ok, a bit above 50% SOC, but I would make sure they are getting charged when you are hooked up. At 12.1v your slide should operate. Might check for a not as tight as should be cable/wire connection.. ------------- |

| Could be your battery disconnect switch has a bad connection internally. Try eliminating the switch or bypass it. |

| Looks like the switch is screwed up. When I test the voltage inside the pod with the switch in the off position, there is still voltage showing. Guess I need a better switch. Thanks! |
