I have a RP151 and want to tow it with my 2002 Nissan Xterra. My truck has towing capacity of 5000lbs and my Pod is about 2500. During first test drive it pulled just fine, but I feel lots of bounce in the rear. I have new shocks, but I am unsure how to deal with this. Should I get a weight distribution hitch with the load bars or some different type of air shocks? Thank you for your help.

You describe the classic symptom of towing without a WDH. The WDH specifically addresses this problem by stiffening the connection between TV and TT, making them approach a single integrated body. Even on larger TVs the WDH will improve the ride by suppressing porpoising. Install a spring bar type WDH, but do not over tighten it. I recommend the Fastway E2 because it includes sway control, but others will also work.

The Andersen WD Hitch is very suited to removing and dampening the bounce cycle. Sway control is built in as well. Check out YouTube videos to see if it's right for you. No springs, no bars, no grease.

Thank you very much for the information. It helps a great deal. I will do my homework and research both types. I tow the Pod now with a newer minivan with no WD hitch and one sway bar and it handles fine. I bet it will tow even better with either one of these WD hitches. Thank you so much!
