Just got back from an 11 day trip out west to Glacier. Great trip but I've come up with fridge problems. When set on propane the unit does not get cold. The lights all indicate it's fine but warm. When I connect to shore power on set on electric everything is good. Nice and cold. Anyone have any thoughts on how I should trouble shoot this before I drag it into the dealer?

I has a similar problem with mine and found spiders nesting in the burner and chimney. Blew the little suckers out and it worked fine. It's amazing how much they can affect the performance of the fridge, The burner still lit and heat came out the chimney but it wasn't enough to cool the fridge.  Easy to check and fix.

Did you purge the lines by lighting the stove top burners first?

That's the odd thing. Burner is working fine. Fuel flowing. Pilot burning. Just no cold on propane.

Burner may appear to be working fine. So did mine. Threw off a lot of heat. Not enough though. Check for critters.

Mine appeared to be fine but wouldn't cool on LP mode either.  Like others said, you still want to clean everything.  Just be very careful with the orifice, only compressed air and/or solvents, no brushes or rags on it.

A note that the flame isn't a pilot, unlike the small flame on a manual-light water heater, the flame you see under the chimney stack does the real work.

Thanks guys. I blow out the chimney frequently but what would be the proper protocol for a complete cleaning? I bet it's posted here somewhere but I can't find it.
