On July 30 and 31 we went to the Mt. Rose Campground, Nevada, at the summit of Highway 431 the Mount Rose Highway located between Reno and Lake Tahoe. The entrance is just before you get to the summit parking lot. It’s a Forest Service campground so it’s only $20 per night. I used my senior pass so I get in for ½ price. They even have camp sites for 2 trailers. I can highly recommend staying there. The elevation is 8930 feet(2721m). It also have very good TV reception from all the antennas, located on a ridge above the campground, that transmit into the Reno area.

We lived in Reno several years ago and would camp at Mt. Rose.  Nice place!

I like your awning!  Did you make that or did you buy it somewhere?

The awning was made by the person we brought the trailer from. It is an Equinox - Ultralite Tarp 8ft. x 10 ft., and 2 REI Adjustable Tarp Pole, 8 ft. long. The tarp was folded over a 1/2” dia. rope and it was sewn in place. Enough hangs out the ends to pull it thru the rail and hold it in in place. I use spring clamps at he end of the rails that I clamp on the rope to hold it taunt. It has 2 guy wires at each corner.
All the parts need to set it up
