We are heading down that way this spring and are looking at the KOA-Nashville to stay at for a few days.

I hate to answer with "I don't know" (why answer at all?), but you did sort of ask me.
I never camp in or near Nashville. There is a nice state park near Dickson, Montgomery Bell State Park. I don't know if they have hookups. If you are really wanting Nashville, it will do, but it's a little far out.
There are a couple of commercial campgrounds right off Briley Parkway near the Opryland Hotel. I think I've heard good things about them. I'll bet they aren't cheap but you cannot beat them for location if you want to do Music City. There is a Camping World and a couple of other RV places right there too, which might be a plus.
