The gel sheets just dim them, and aren't permanent. Some owners have frosted the inside with paint. ------------- |

I use these since they are heat resistant (low heat), and work well with my LED lights.
We use the red for the main lights when we are out on Astronomical Star Parties, and the frost for the other lights. There are many other online vendors and many other combinations of colors. If you do a search on Amazon, you can find dimmable LED lights.
