Getting ready to launch my 2010 RP-171 on its maiden voyage this weekend.  I made it down to the tax collector's office and got greased for the new license plate.

Here's another clueless n00b question: how do I mount the license plate?  There are no nuts/bolts on the bracket or screw holes in the back of the pod.  Maybe the previous owner kept them?

So you have the bracket with the white light, but no holes on it?

Yes bracket is there but no nuts or threaded holes behind it.

Go to Home Depot, an auto parts store, or any hardware store and ask for some nuts, bolts, and lock washers for a license plate.

I wouldn't expect threaded holes, just 2 holes.  Then you use the stuff Tars listed to mount the plate.

I ran down to the local Ace Hardware and found some nuts, bolts, washers, and lock washers that worked.  I had to carefully pry up the ends of the plastic mounting bracket to slip the nuts behind them, being caeful not to break it.

Sounds good.  You can run the bolts in from the back and put the washers and nuts on the face side of the plate, but you have it taken care of.
