Hello,
Going to pick up my used 2013 172 today. Never pulled a trailer before. After setting up the Honda Odessy with a new hitch and Transmission cooler and a brake controller I think I am ready. Feeling a bit nervous but I suppose that makes sense after all. So far I have only been lurking on this forum and it's been a big help. Thanks Alan E Bell |

Congratulations, We are also new R-pod owners. Brand new R-pod, everything works when hooked up to the car but when we just plug into electricity at home nothing works. Do we need the battery in place and hooked up for the electricity to work?

thanks! I made it from Bakersfield without incident. Not to much difficulty. Even managed to back it into the driveway so I feel pretty good.
the van pulled up the Grapevine (very steep pass) without an trouble. Question about the water tank. If I hook up to city water is that bypassing my water tank? Or is it going to fill the tank at the same time as giving me water while hooked up? Not sure if I need to manually fill via the hole above the city hook up? Thanks Alan |

Welcome aboard! The city water line is a direct connection and will not go into the tank. You will have to fill the tank if you want to pump from it. The tank is more for being off the grid. I would suggest a clean out of the tank prior to using for your purposes. I just don't trust the dealerships completely. ------------- 2014 R-POD 177 |
