Spent two weeks camping in the rpod with rdome deployed.was able to find one of only 5 spots that dome could be used. Many people interest in how dome was setup. Explained plus & minuses. Met another 179 pod owner and comparing upgrades & differences. They didn't have rdome and were interested. They were not forum members and l told them to check forums for info. His main complaint was having to carry ladder with them to clear debris from slide out before closing . l told him to check forum & dealer about auto deploy canopy over slide to maybe eliminate this problem. I have the 171 and no slide out.l have seen these auto canopies on other rvs with slideouts.
The camping at 5700 ft altitude was refreshing from Florida's heat & humidity. Had a goodtime.
No problems with the pod.still getting use to downsizing from larger rv. Planning on trip with pod to boundary water area , north shore lake Superior ,& upper peninsula of Michigan later this summer.

I have a 12 foot telescoping ladder, which goes down to 3 feet when closed. Hopefully your neighbor wasn't carrying around a full-sized ladder.
