Hello,

Pulling a 2015 182g.  How hot should I expect the outside grill/vent of the water heater to get during operation?  My wife received a bad burn when she inadvertently and briefly touched the grill vent.  I understand that its burning propane to heat the water so some heat should be expected.  Just wondering if the high temperature is normal or if I should have the unit serviced.  The vent is low enough for a kiddo to slap a hand on so it isn't the safest situation.

They get hot... you are heating 6 gallons water to 140F in 20 minutes or so.. So it gets a heck of a lot hotter than that..

If it's an issue, I would put one of the bug guards on it, to provide extra standoff..
