We just picked up our 179 and are sooo excited.  We live (part of the year) in South Central Kentucky.   We spend 5 months of the year on a small sailboat in Florida and the Bahamas, so we are not strangers to life in small quarters with limited water and off-grid electricity.  Then, too, we built our own house in the middle of the woods and lived for 18 years without running water or electricity.  “Shore Leave,” our 179, is luxurious!  We hope to see many of you on our travels.  We are looking forward to adding our Pod adventures to our blog  www.svnowornever.blogspot.com

Lots of boaters in the pod world.  Must feel luxurious after getting off the sailboat!

Welcome! And congrats!

Loved going through your blog. Brough back a lots of memories of rum runners at The Complete Angler or End of the World Bar, the wonderful music of Ozzie (RIP) and the band on the porch of The Angler and the pictures of Papa Hemingway "fishing" for sharks in Bimini harbor with machine guns, snorkeling the concrete ship or around Honeymoon harbor or south end of Cat Cay - back in the day when Richard Nixon and Bebe Rebozo would hang out there - and sailing all the other special places in the chain. Spent a lot of time bumming around the Bahamas. Wow, look what you stirred up!!

I first saw your blog and I thought you had a Ranger 33. Looks similar and spent a fair amount of time aboard one. So many memories of crossing the stream from Ft. Ladida in so many boats.

So, yeah, that 179 probably feels pretty roomy, although a bit tougher to sleep on deck.

If I hear a conch shell horn, I'll know who it is!
