Congrats on your new purchase. I vote for Big Sur. Jules Pfeiffer State Park. Explore Monterey, and Carmel. Have a cocktail at Nepenthe overlooking the Pacific. Bob is absolutely correct! Heres a few pics of our tour from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park up the coast to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. This is just a small handful of pics (memories) we returned with. We just got back from 3 nights at Mackerricher State Park just north of Fort Bragg on highway 1 a few hours up the coast from San Francisco. It was excellent...big, quiet, lots to see, good for kids. No hook ups. The town is close enough to visit but does not feel too close. ;0) Conni ------------- Honda Pilot plus 176T for me ;0) |

Bobdog, I live in Red Bluff and we just purchased our 179 about two months ago. I would suggest Lassen Park camp ground to get out of this heat.
