I am getting the beeping from my LP detector because I have my battery disconnected when we are not using our Rpod. Is this going to hurt anything?

Yes.  The LP detector and the fridge electronics will drain the battery to the point that it is damaged in about 2 weeks.  Very soon after it will be dead for good.

You must disconnect the battery from the pod between trips unless you keep the pod plugged in, or you use a battery tender.  Reconnect every 30 days and plug in the pod overnight.  Then disconnect the battery again.

Unless I misunderstood the question, the question was, will having the battery disconnected harm anything, correct....? Very good question to ask, as I am in the same situation.

I don't think anything could be harmed, because with the battery disconnected, there is no power going to any electronics in the Rpod. I was just curious why my LP detector was beeping when the gas is off at the LP tank valve, and the battery is not hooked up. Doesn't make sense. As soon as I opened the door the beeping stopped.

If you have beeping with the battery disconnected, it's not the LP detector.

If you mean that you are disconnected and it beeps when you reconnect, it's probably because your battery it very low.

This. If the battery is disconnected the LP detector has no power. It can't beep or anything else. The things that CAN beep when the power is disconnected are the smoke detector and the carbon monoxide detector. They both have a 9v battery in them. try pulling/replacing those. In the small confines of the Pod.. it's often hard to tell just where a beep may be coming from..
