Hi, I'm taking my oldest son out for orientation at the University of Missouri in early July and am looking for recommendations for a campground near the Columbia campus. There don't appear to be many in the area and reviews are mixed for those I've found. Would like electric for AC (no longer used to humidity), but won't be hanging around much so nothing special required. Just want something decent and quiet.

cch: my son just graduated from MIZZOU!! The only place I ever stayed was at Pine Ridge Campground which is about 20-30 minutes SE of columbia. However, its fairly primitive, drinking water and latrines only, no hoookups. There is a state park north of columbia (forgot the name), but what always kept me from it was that it is a 4 wheeling/ATV park. hogone

My recommendation would be Cottonwood RV Park since you want to be in fairly close. It is far enough from I-70 to be relatively quiet and it is decent.
